These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Electracorp website and enquiries, bookings, repairs, installations, maintenance services and spare-parts transactions handled by Electracorp.
By submitting an enquiry, requesting a quotation, booking a service or supplying equipment to Electracorp, you acknowledge that the applicable service-specific terms, quotation, job card or sales document may also form part of the agreement.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other applicable legislation.

Electracorp provides appliance, television, air-conditioning and commercial refrigeration services, together with genuine spare-parts support, in South Africa and Lesotho.
2. Website Information
Information on this website is provided for general information and enquiry purposes.
Website content does not constitute a final quotation, technical diagnosis, guarantee of repairability or confirmation that a part is available.
Prices, services, service areas, business hours and parts availability may change without prior notice. Any transaction remains subject to confirmation by Electracorp.
3. Enquiries and Bookings
Submitting a website form or WhatsApp message does not by itself confirm a booking.
A booking is confirmed only when Electracorp accepts it and communicates the applicable arrangements to the customer.
The customer must provide complete and accurate contact, equipment, fault and location information. Electracorp is not responsible for delays or incorrect parts resulting from materially inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the customer.
4. Inspection, Diagnosis and Quotations
Some faults cannot be identified without inspection, testing, disassembly or diagnostic work.
Where applicable, Electracorp may charge an assessment or diagnostic fee. The applicable fee must be disclosed to and accepted by the customer before the chargeable assessment is performed.
The current standard assessment fee is R150.00 including VAT unless another amount is disclosed and agreed beforehand.
This fee may apply where:
- A quotation is not accepted
- A job is cancelled after assessment has started
- The reported fault cannot be confirmed
- Required spare parts are unavailable through Electracorp’s normal suppliers
- Diagnostic work, disassembly or reassembly was reasonably required
A quotation or estimate is based on the information and condition reasonably discoverable at the time. Additional faults or costs discovered during the repair will be communicated for authorisation where required.
5. Pre-Authorised Repair Limits
A customer may expressly pre-authorise Electracorp to proceed with repairs up to an agreed maximum amount without obtaining further approval.
Unless a different limit is recorded and accepted, Electracorp’s standard pre-authorisation limits are:
- General appliances and equipment: R800.00 excluding VAT
- LCD, LED and plasma televisions: R1,800.00 excluding VAT
- Smart televisions: R2,000.00 excluding VAT
These limits apply only where the customer has expressly accepted the applicable pre-authorisation when booking the repair, signing the job card, approving the quotation or through another recorded communication.
Electracorp will request further approval before knowingly exceeding the accepted limit, except where the customer has separately authorised otherwise.
6. Non-Reversible Work and Special-Order Parts
Certain repairs may involve:
- Non-returnable or specially ordered parts
- Electronic components
- Compressors
- Refrigeration-system work
- Adhesives, seals or components that cannot be restored after removal
- Work that cannot reasonably be reversed once started
Electracorp will explain material non-reversible work or non-returnable parts where reasonably possible before proceeding.
The customer may be required to approve this work separately and may be liable for authorised work and parts already supplied or committed, even if the repair cannot ultimately be completed for reasons outside Electracorp’s reasonable control.
This clause does not remove any right relating to defective goods, poor workmanship, negligence or unauthorised work.
7. Television Panels and Backlights
Panel, backlight and screen-related repairs may involve fragile components, bonded parts and pre-existing deterioration. Opening or working on these assemblies can expose faults or damage that could not reasonably be detected beforehand.
Electracorp will explain any material risk identified before undertaking particularly high-risk work and may require the customer’s separate written or recorded acceptance.
Acceptance of an inherent technical risk does not exclude liability for negligent workmanship or any statutory consumer right.
8. Spare-Parts Identification
Parts may differ between products that share the same commercial model name. Version numbers, serial numbers, production codes and photographs may be required to identify the correct component.
The customer is responsible for supplying accurate model, serial and version information.
Electracorp will take reasonable care when identifying parts. Final availability, price and compatibility remain subject to supplier and manufacturer confirmation.
9. Parts Returns
A correctly supplied part returned because the customer changed their mind or supplied incorrect identifying information may be subject to:
- A handling fee of up to 20%
- Delivery and collection costs
- Supplier return approval
- Inspection confirming that the part is unused, undamaged and in resalable condition
Electronic parts, compressors, installed parts, used parts and specially ordered parts may not be returnable for change-of-mind purposes because installation or handling can alter their condition or prevent resale.
These restrictions do not apply where a part is defective, incorrectly supplied by Electracorp, misdescribed or otherwise subject to a statutory return right.
10. Replaced Parts
Unless agreed otherwise before the repair, replaced faulty parts may be disposed of responsibly after completion of the work.
A customer who wants replaced components returned must request this before the repair begins.
Parts subject to manufacturer, supplier, warranty, exchange or core-return requirements cannot be returned to the customer.
11. Repair Guarantee and Statutory Warranty
Electracorp provides a three-month workmanship guarantee from the repair date for the specific repair performed, subject to the nature of the work and any longer statutory or written warranty that applies.
Replacement parts installed during repair are covered by the warranty required by applicable law and any additional manufacturer or supplier warranty.
The guarantee does not ordinarily cover:
- A different or unrelated fault
- Misuse, abuse, neglect or accidental damage
- Power surges, lightning, water, pests or environmental damage
- Continued use after a fault became apparent
- Unauthorised alterations or repairs by another person
- Damage caused by incorrect installation or operation outside manufacturer requirements
- Normal wear and tear
Damage, removal or alteration of Electracorp’s repair-identification sticker may affect a guarantee claim where it prevents verification of the repair or indicates unauthorised interference. It does not automatically remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Collection of Equipment
Customers must collect repaired, unrepaired or unrepairable equipment promptly after being notified that it is ready.
If equipment remains uncollected, Electracorp may issue reminder and final collection notices using the customer’s recorded contact details.
Equipment remaining uncollected for more than 90 days after the customer has been notified may incur reasonable storage or administration charges where these were properly disclosed.
Electracorp may deal with abandoned equipment only after reasonable notice and in accordance with applicable law. Electracorp will not automatically become the owner of equipment merely because it remains uncollected.
Customers are responsible for keeping their contact details current.
13. Customer Property and Limitation of Liability
Electracorp will take reasonable care of equipment in its possession.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Electracorp will not be responsible for loss or damage caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including fire, theft, natural disasters, civil disturbance or failures of external infrastructure, provided Electracorp took reasonable precautions.
Electracorp does not exclude liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, negligent handling or any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Customers should back up data and remove passwords, accounts, memory cards and personal accessories before submitting smart devices or connected equipment. Repair procedures may result in settings or stored information being reset or lost.
14. Payment
Payment is due according to the quotation, invoice, job card or other agreed payment terms.
Electracorp may require a deposit or full payment for special-order parts before ordering them.
Equipment and parts may be withheld until amounts lawfully due have been paid, subject to applicable law.
Ownership of supplied goods remains with Electracorp until payment has been received in full, where legally permitted.
15. Cancellations
Customers may cancel a booking or repair instruction, but remain responsible for authorised work already performed, parts already ordered and reasonable cancellation or assessment charges that were disclosed and agreed.
Special-order, imported or non-returnable parts cannot necessarily be cancelled once the order has been placed with the supplier.
16. Turnaround Times and Parts Availability
Any completion date or turnaround time is an estimate unless expressly guaranteed in writing.
Delays may occur because of diagnosis, parts availability, manufacturer approval, courier services, import processes, load-shedding or other circumstances outside Electracorp’s reasonable control.
Electracorp will take reasonable steps to communicate material delays.
17. Manufacturer Names and Trademarks
Manufacturer names, product names and trademarks displayed on this website belong to their respective owners.
Their use identifies products serviced or parts supplied and does not imply ownership of those trademarks.
Any statement that Electracorp is accredited, authorised or supported by a manufacturer applies only to the relevant manufacturer, territory, product category and current appointment.
18. WhatsApp and External Services
Links to WhatsApp, maps, social-media platforms and other third-party services are provided for convenience.
Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Electracorp is not responsible for the availability, security or independent conduct of a third-party platform.
19. Privacy
Personal information is processed according to Electracorp’s Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection legislation.
Customers should read the Privacy Policy before submitting personal information through the website.
20. Complaints and Disputes
Customers should first submit concerns to:
Email: support@electracorp.net
Call Centre: 087 550 1346
Electracorp will attempt to investigate and resolve complaints reasonably.
Nothing in these Terms prevents a customer from approaching an applicable consumer-protection body, regulator, ombud, tribunal or court.
21. Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the relevant transaction and territory in which the service or supply takes place.
South African consumer transactions are subject to South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act where applicable. Services supplied in Lesotho remain subject to applicable Lesotho law.
22. Changes to These Terms
Electracorp may update these Terms when its services, processes or legal obligations change.
The version applicable to a transaction will ordinarily be the version in effect when the transaction was concluded, together with any specific terms accepted on the relevant quotation, job card, invoice or order.
